National Data Sharing Portal
3 new NHS portals for GP Connect
As a UI/UX designer for Answer Digital, my role in delivering the new National Data Sharing Portals for the NHS was pivotal in ensuring a seamless user-centered experience for healthcare professionals and patients.
By conducting thorough user research and then analysis, I gained insights into the needs and expectations of the target audience, enabling me to design intuitive interfaces and workflows catered to their specific interactions.
Through iterative prototyping and usability testing, I was able to refine the design and gather valuable feedback to make informed design decisions which I repeatedly shared with our Agile team.
The end result was a set of National Data Sharing Portals that not only met the complex data sharing requirements of the NHS, but also provided an accessible NHS compliant interface that empowered the GP Connect system to aid clinicians and patients.
Docobo
A new universal interface for Docobo telehealth system Doc@home
During my collaboration with Docobo, a digital health solutions company, I led a transformative project developing their UI and overall brand identity.
My focus was on designing a universal user interface across multiple platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience. I helped future-proof the design by creating a new design system they could follow and design documents they could refer back to. This system included custom iconography, design assets, branding choices and informative infographics.
Working in the healthcare sector means that accessibility was in important factor, a number of their users are elderly which meant communicating the apps features in simple and clear ways.
After the initial full-time UI work my contract switched to a freelance graphic design role, producing PDF documents, social media posts, an animation and print materials including infographics - all of which stemmed from the design foundations we had previously laid.
YCSC
A new CMS powered website for an educational cybersecurity charity
As an employee at Answer Digitals, The Yorkshire Cyber Security Community (YCSC) charity secured myself a BA and a developer to design and deliver a brand new knowledge bank CMS website.
Over three months we built a new platform that allowed staff to add educational content for their member to e able to access.
Content required a search and filter system that would allow their spectrum of professionals, students and hobbyists to find appropriate content.
The site was user tested with an after school club and delivered using Wordpress to allow it to integrate with their existing site plus a full custom admin guide to ensure future resilience.
Answer King
A hypothetical resturant ordering system user interface
As part of a developer academy at Answer Digital I was asked to help design an interface for a hypothetical fast food burger restaurant.
The aim was to give the trainee developers a UI to build and provide them with experience of working with a UX designer in an Agile project.
The project started as an online ordering system but developed into an in-store point of sale touchscreen device UI backed by a web based admin portal that allowed staff to track orders, edit menus and check stock levels. This meant designing two similar but different interfaces, each tailored to the intended contexts of the users.

A hypothetical resturant ordering system user interface
As Stoneys approached their 50th anniversary owner Asher Wiggers approached D&n with a dream to build a website that would allow them to reach a new demographic of business, expanding on their well established name.
I met with Asher to discuss what we could do, helping him to process the aims and audience for the website as well as understanding how involved he wanted to be as the administrator.
Working this out we began to draft a prototype in Figma, designing the site sections and writing the text he needed. Asher then went through and together we tailored the site to his desire.
To embellish the website we met the team on site to capture some photos that we were then able to curate and edit ready for use on the site and for Asher moving forward.
Happy with the design we built the site on Webflow, setting it up with a domain and SEO all ready to go.
